Support Groups
Connecting with a support group or mentor is a good way to overcome the isolation you may feel in a nontraditional job.
A support group can provide you with a place to discuss successful strategies for overcoming the challenges and to foster a feeling of community. Support groups are also places for women to learn about job listings, training opportunities and employment or apprenticeship exam-taking tips.
